When A Woman Acted Suspiciously At A McDonald’s Drive-Thru, Employees Knew They Had To Intervene

It’s Christmas Eve, and the staff at McDonald’s are going about their day, taking orders and handing customers their burgers like normal. So, when a car enters the drive-thru, they think nothing of it — at first. Then, when the vehicle approaches the order window, they see the woman in the driver’s seat mouthing something. Suddenly, the employees realize that something is very wrong — and that makes them immediately spring into action.

Working on Christmas

For the staff at the McDonald’s in Lodi, California, that Christmas Eve shift started off like any other. It was just business as usual, although the crew may have been counting down the hours until they could finally leave and relax at home with their loved ones. Then the day took a shocking turn.

Not just any customer

It all began when a lady walked into the restaurant and approached the counter in the early afternoon. And to begin with, the workers would have thought she was just another paying customer, craving a Big Mac before the holiday blowout. But as they soon found out, this woman needed help.

An alarming request

Before the woman headed to the bathroom, she asked the McDonald’s employees to dial 911. Then she returned to her vehicle and drove towards the drive-thru. And once she got to the window, the distressed lady again suggested that something wasn’t right. The staff had to act – and quickly.

Golden arches

It may sound weird to ask McDonald’s staff for help, but this woman had no choice. And it’s not as odd an idea as it first appears. You see, some McDonald’s offer more than burgers and fries to their customers.
