Country music superstar Dolly Parton loves kids. She’s spent a lot of time caring for them and has given unsparingly from her talents and wealth to make life better for them. Even so, the singer has no offspring of her own. And in a 2017 interview with Matt Lauer for TV network ABC’s Today show, she shared her feelings about not having children.
Parton herself came from a big family, and that has, she says, given her insight into kids. She told entertainment website HuffPost, “I’m the perfect grandma, I’m the perfect aunt, I’m the perfect babysitter, because I don’t have children. So I bring them over to visit me by choice. They don’t get dumped on me.”
